David GarciaDave Garcia:

Dave Garcia was born in South El Paso on December 17, 1953. He went to St.Patrick Elementary School before attending prep school at Jesuit Preparatory. In 1972 he started college at University of Dallas, then finished at Southern Methodist University in Journalism.

During that summer while on his way to Nursing School, KTSM TV came calling. Since David had worked at KROD radio between school semesters, the move to a full-time radio job seemed logical.   Read more about Dave

This is not the story you want to hear if you’re not feeling good after a Memorial day picnic. The New Mexico state health department says a lot of the state's recent salmonella cases are linked.  It’s the "Saint Paul" strain. So far, this morning  at least 4 people in Dona Ana County are sick. Officially there is is an outbreak of salmonella in the state.  Be sure to fully cook chicken, beef and eggs at least for the time being. and wash your hands a lot.

19 cases have pop up in less than a month in six different counties. And several people have had to go to the hospital.  If your have a headache, stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea and you’tr vomiting get to a doctor. This morning  there are also 14 cases of salmonella in Texas.
