During that summer while on his way to Nursing School, KTSM TV came calling. Since David had worked at KROD radio between school semesters, the move to a full-time radio job seemed logical.   Read more about Dave

Deputies scramble when bullets fly

It looks like a guy playing with a high powered rifle, squeezed off a few shots in the direction of some sheriffs deputies over the holiday.

Antonio Rodriguez, who’s 19, has some time to think about what happened this morning. He’s in the County Lock up staring at Deadly Conduct charges. He needs a $750 bond to get out. Deputies were near Hueco Tanks and Telles in far east El Paso, when people saw the guy shooting the rifle out of his car. The Deputies were on his tail when he made a sharp turn into a house on Hueco Tanks. That’s then it looks like someone shot at them. They saw the muzzle flash headed in their direction. Deputies made their way behind the house, saw the license plates, tracked down a number and called a 17-year-old girl who lived there with her 19-year-old brother and his 18-year-old friend. They gave up without incident. Deputies found the bullet casings by the porch. The other two were cut lose they won’t be charged.
