The Big Band of the German Armed Forces Concert The Big Band of the German Armed Forces will be in performance at the McGoffin auditorium on Sunday, November 23rd at 7pm. Tickets to this event are 5,00$ plus applicable Fees and Taxes and available at the UTEP Ticket Office (747-5234) an at any Ticketmaster Locations, by phone at 544-8444 or online at www.Ticketmaster.com. Any seat not claimed by 6:45pm will be offered to the general public. The Gerrman Air Force at Fort Bliss presents this Concert in cooperation with the UTEP. The German Air Force Soldiers and their families will show their appreciation to the people of El Paso and the Fort Bliss community for their outstanding support of the Germans and all men and women in Uniform. The Children�s Grief Center will provide a one day uplifting event called Operation Mend-A-Heart for children, teens and their families whose lives have been forever changed by the death of a military loved one in war, accident or illness. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 8th, 2008, at the Nolan Richardson Center at 4435 Maxwell, in northeast El Paso. Join us as we honor and remember the lives of our military heroes and begin the healing journey. The day will be filled with opportunities for sharing, arts & crafts, and food. The USAF Band of the West Concert Band will be in performance at the Bowie High School auditorium on Saturday, October 4th at 7pm. Tickets to this event are FREE and available at the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, or the Fort Bliss Public Affairs office. Any seat not claimed by 6:45pm will be offered to the general public. The Children’s Grief Center will be holding volunteer group facilitator training on Saturday, September 13th and Saturday, September 20th from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm on both days.
