It is hard to believe that my ten week internship in Tampa, FL is about to be complete, but I can honestly say that I have missed the great listeners to KROD and can't wait to get back on the airwaves with everyone. I have had a chance to check out Tropicana Field four times this summer and see to feel-good story of MLB - the Tampa Bay Rays. The fact that this team is still in first place in the tradition rich AL East is nothing short of schocking. Evan Longoria is the real deal though and should be the AL Rookie of the Year. For all the press that he earns with his bat - he is one of the best young third baseman in the league defensively. I am eagerly anticipating getting back to the Sun City to start on the city-wide preparation for Sept 6 date with the UT Longhorns. It is going to be nothing short of amazing to be a part of what I know will be a circus-like atmosphere. I don't know about you News Junkies, but I am definitely dying for some football. High School football is right around the corner, and once again KROD will be your home for all the action every Friday night. Steve Hill and I will be back again for Football Friday Night and we will be bringing with us the biggest crew of reporters that our show has ever had. It is hard to believe that we are only one month out. I'll see everyone in two weeks. Q
