The fallout of a Public scandal in the valley is hitting El Paso this morning. SamCorp, whose president is accused of bribing school district officials in the Rio Grande Valley, may lose its $23 million contract to build a high school in Socorro.
Superintendent Sylvia P. Atkinson will reconsider the contract they handed SamCorp last month. All because SamCorp President Steven Sambrano and his consultant, Ramiro Guzman, were indicted in McAllen. They say the two bribed trustees in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo School District.
