Now that El Paso County leaders gave themselves a pretty hefty raise, the county’s top two lawyers want one too. County Attorney José Rodríguez wants 24-thousand dollars more from his $141, 287 a year to $165,000. And, Jaime Esparza, wants $172,000 a year to be the District Attorney. Most of Esparza’s salary comes from the state, but the county kicks in about $25,000 a year.
