The immigrant convicted of aggravated assault was caught when he tried to illegally get into the U.S. near Sunland Park. Border Patrol agents used their high tech tracking gear to spot the guy in the dark right after midnight. When the processed him, they found out he had an extensive criminal history, including five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon up the road in Santa Fe. He’ll get to stay in the U.S. , In a way... You see he’ll be extradited to New Mexico for charges before he’s deported
