And get this… the tuition at UTEP will go up by $300 in the next two years. The University regents okay’ed the school's idea to raise rates. UTEP pushed the hike as much as they could after regents told UTEP schools to limit tuition increases.

Here’s the hurt tuition goes from $2,884 for 15 credit hours to $3,034 in the fall and $3,184 in 2009.

The University says hey need the extra money because state funds dropped while more student want to go to college. Here the cash will go to pay staff and faculty salaries, for research and the cost of educating more students.
