The Court security officers at the federal courthouse in El Paso have been working without pay since U.S. Protect Services, which is based in Silver Springs, Maryland, was forced into bankruptcy last week. Back in January, their payroll checks bounced, they were paid but last week, the checks bounced again. That’s not all it looks like there’s some problems with the employees' 401 K contributions. The U.S. Marshal’s are technically responsible for security and two new security companies have agreed to come in early and take over these contracts.
