With all the violence along the border and the dozens of people including police gunned down in the streets, you may not need this but the State Department has put out a travel alert warning U.S. residents about narcotics-related violence in Mexico.
The U.S. Ambassador to Mexico says the travel alert is intended to reflect the increasing security problems in the state of Chihuahua. And adds all the violence is because of organized crime networks vying for control of drug trafficking routes.
By the way, there’s still more than 2500 Mexican Army troops in Juarez patrolling the streets.
