I don't know why I haven't learned my lesson by now. When I left for Phoenix Saturday morning, I made sure that my DVR was ready to record the UTEP/UAB game on KVIA. There's a setting on the DVR that allows a person to record a program for additional minutes. So instead of setting the DVR for 2 hours, I had the brilliant idea to make sure it was 2 hours and 30 minutes. This way, I would be covered in case the game went into overtime. Of course, you can guess the rest of the story. The freakin' game goes into 2 overtimes and the Miners win one of their most memorable road contests in recent years. And by the time I came home last night, I was only able to watch the first overtime, because I didn't set the damn DVR for 3 hours. Who in their right mind would set a basketball game for 3 hours? Lesson learned.
